Discussions of Roles and Priorities

Whilst sat down together as a group we all came with up roles and priorities for each person that will enable us to do a thorough and well made level 4 production. Each person has been allocated two roles from a list of eight. I, however only have one role which is to take charge of the mise en scene. Mise en scene in a music video or any production for that matter is a very broad matter so we decided that we would do a better job by having one person focus on this topic and only this topic;

Jen

• Selecting mise-en-scene including colour, figure, lighting, objects and setting

Sam

• Holding a shot steady, where appropriate
• Framing a shot, including and excluding elements as appropriate

Jack

• Editing so that meaning is apparent to the viewers
• Using a varied shot transitions, captions and other effects selectively and appropriately

David

• Using a variety of shots distances as appropriate
• Using sound with images and editing appropriately for the task

By allocating specific roles to each person should hopefully allow our group to create a well produced and well structured piece of work.
